I would also recommend Picante for cheap, but good Mexican food, as well as T-Rex, which is pretty closeby. T-Rex is fun because they have pretty respectable BBQ, and on Friday/Saturday nights they have live jazz (and serve food until midnight). If you want an alternative, Albatross is a great place to hang out at night.
